VATLE AW 2011 "ASHES"

VATLE showed AW 2011 ASHES in Jakob Church in Oslo 12th of April 2011. New for the season is the menswear. VATLE cooperated with Cosmo Beauty. The creative leader from Cosmo Beauty is Ulla K. Rafaelsen. Kjersti & Ulla has worked together in 7 years. To have Ulla on board is always a pleasure for the styling of the collection, adding norways finest makeup artist Vidar Svendsen it´s perfection.

It was a rainy day, but still the church got filled up. Eva & The hearmaker started the show, Thavius Beck from L.A. was catwalking and making the incredible music for the show and swedish Lazee ended it. The model did a really great job and the amazing Marianne Haugli made the corography. We had scouted a lot of the models at street - and everyone was talking of the good casted models we had this season. We are really proud of them! We also want to thank all the brilliant brilliant people that helped us all day long behind the scenes. Without your good help - nothing of this would ever happen!

And Trine-Lise, Anna and Lamia Be - your hands made us finish the collection right on time. Thanks a lot !! <3

VATLE is represented at the window of Steen & Strøm in Oslo. Steen & Strøm is the biggest trend shopping Center in Oslo. It`s my all time favorite magazine SVA who made the windows. They represent some of the biggest norwegian designers. The illustrator behind the paper dolls with the norwegian design is Karen Gjelsvik. NICE <3

I always love it when I read interviews with people I totally agree with. I wanted to share some of my favorite people and some quotes they did that I admire. I´ll start with Vivienne Westwood. I just read an interesting interview with her this evening. I love that she is completely honest and not afraid of what other people thinks about her. It`s written in her collections as well. I admire her fearless brave colourful designs. She`s one of my favorite fashion designers because of this.

Some quotes I randomly picked up;

"It is not possible for a man to be elegant without a touch of femininity."

"I'm anti-feminist. They don't see the wood for the trees and everything has to be viewed from this feminist point of view. I know women have suffered and I think it's great that people stand up for women's rights but the problem with feminists is that they somehow consider women to be superior beings. What continues to inspire you?
Well art for me is a vision on the world. Every painter’s eyes for example, I believe, have had a different vision on the world. And by looking at art I try to understand the world that I live in. And by that, I mean that I understand it as a member of the human race and by looking into what the future brings. Through art you really can understand your place in the world. And it also gives you a fantastic anger as well, to the point that you don’t, as an individual, get blown away. Instead it gives you a sense of personal progress. It’s always been my personal responsibility, as a fashion designer, to understand the world that I live in. That’s the way we develop different values and why we cannot just suck up things as consumers without too much thought applied to our choices.

For a couple of weeks ago - VATLE finally shot the lookbook pictures. I'm extremly happy with how the pictures turned out.

Annie Andersson is a fabolous photographer, that just captures exactly the vibe I wanted to present with the "Urban Synergy S/S 2011" She's one of my favorites. I will put up the lookbook in its whole when the editing is all done. But as a "teaser" I give you these to look at.

I was so lucky to have the best team ever this time!!

Ulla Kristine Rafaelsen - my all time favorite hair stylist/artist from my absolute favorite saloon in Norway; Cosmo Beauty did the hair for the lookbook, she and Christina did the show as well ( BANANAS ). It's fraking amazing, plexi glass, braids and extensions in strong colours.. I love love love it! Check the hair from the show;

LADY GAGA / MTV 5 YEAR CELEBRATION

In the moment we went in Oslo Spektrum, Gaga started playing. It was much better show than I had expected actually, I loved her way of being calm and her way of speaking to us. She looked fierce with her fire coloured wig and she had on her many great costumes. Fab to see the moving dress live and her firecracker bustier.. Oh how I love her, shes the pop fashion queen !

Afterwards we went to the MTV party. It was a line that lasted for an hour, pretty boring. I personally think that party at Grand seem to be the same every time. Too over sized rooms and too crowded. But when we found the right room and could sit down and have a drink it turned out nice after all!

Robyn nailing the Norwegian show "Senkveld" in THE shoes I would die for!

It's no secret that I absolutely love and admire Robyn, her music and her style goes straight through my heart.

I certainly saw her on Senkveld, and I died when I saw her shoes. Totally DOPE! Me and my good friend and best hair stylist in Norway Ulla K.Rafaelsen did our research and I ended up finding out this ;

It's the classic Timberlands combined with the Buffalo Platform.

I used to LOVE Neneh Cherry when I was a teen. She inspired every outfits and dance moves that time. One of my favorite videos was without doubt "Money Love":

I had her braids and even remember I put down my bra straps, too look like her! Oh how I wish I could find a picture of my style that time.. Promise to post it if I find it!

Buffalo Stance was her first major hit. Neneh says about the song: “It’s not a feminist record – none of my songs are. But it’s about female strength, female power, female attitude.” (http://www.geocities.com/miamaya_1999). It’s about the female taking the traditionally male role, flipping it, and rocking it out with a sexy attitude. This is perhaps why it was around this time that the press started referring to her as the “Black Madonna”.

One of my greatest inspiration as a designer - is to meet open minded, creative persons that has something new to add my life. Mariann Rosa is definitely one of those! I've always been admiring her as a artist with no fear of being herself, doing creative artistic steps that very few dears to do. I'm very happy she has became a close friend and the last year we have been planning to corporate with some new innovative designs for her new promo and upcoming album. It's been inspiring and challenging and I feel we now have been able to make some great results as a team. Eunice Nanzala has been making all the hats shoes and headpieces I have made all the clothes with good help in my good internship help Trine-Lise Hagen. And Mariann has been the one dropping out a looot of inspiring ideas and we have cooked this little collection together as a team.

Me & Robyn Aka THE Scandinavian pop queen

One of my favorite bands in the whole world - are wearing VATLE on stage. I saw them in VATLE at Festningen earlier this autumn, and got to meet Robyn as well. Røyksopp has used a lot from Aw 2010 "A sci-fi story" And I hope to be able to make som customized design specially for them. Would LOVE to work for them a lot in the future! Their style is so inspiring passionate and free. I love artists who are open minded and not afraid to walk their own new ways!

vidar Svendsen & Stephan Ulvund Øien made the makeup for the show, and it looked just as I wanted it to look. The hair and makeup made the frame that was very important for me. They made paper eyelashes in different shapes and colors themself, and worked with two a bit different themes. The first look was more feminine, focusing on a lot of colours and eyeshadow's the other one more masculine with focus on the shimmering lips.

About Oslo Fashion Week

I will make myself as short as I'm able to.

Oslo Fashion Week has been an important good thing to a lot of the norwegian designers. And me included - I'm truly grateful for what it has done for me when I participated.

But when OFW choose quantity before quality, and says that they choose to invite Russeservice and wedding brands with Pia Haraldsen in front because they are afraid for the competition for the norwegian designers showing this season- I react.

And I honestly don't care about Pia H / Agape. What they do - is up to them. I just care about Oslo Fashion Week inviting whoever to their arena. It seems like everyone just can send them an application pay the fee- and show whatever crap they want.. Like a talent show.. No one knows if the next number is good or bad - you just have to turn up and mingle among the celebrities and cheer on the one you like. How can this be?

I feel that it's not design it's about at OFW anymore.. It's only about the famous people and the money. I think it's rather sad to come to watch my outfits at the trend show, without even being seated every single season. To arrive your own show and opening - and not being enough respected to even be seated, but pointed back in a dark corner speaks for itself.

The designers and what they do - should be the main priority. A good fashion week respect their designers. A bad one, doesn't.

Sad that the norwegian designers can't show at one platform because of disrespect combined with no quality filters. Not even the buyers come to OFW. It' s also rather hard for the designers to not be able to use any sponsors - because the people working for ofw makes luxury appoinments so that the designers cant even choose sponsors as they want.

Right now, I'm glad I have my own show with values and soul in september. But I think it's sad that it has to turn in this direction for OFW.

We was in Stockholm this weekend to party with Robyn at her Tutti Frutti club at Sødermalm. It was amazin' !! Enjoy Robyns new video for " Dancing on my own".

We checked out Robyn's last Tutti Frutti club. The doors opened 22:00. We was there like 22:10 - and the line was longer then I ever seen in my entire life. But we came in, and it was all worth it. Robyn looked like she had a lot of fun, everyone danced and it was not overcrowded.

Earlier this friday - we went to check out Stockholms main attraction this weekend; Annie Leibowiz exhibition. Downstais there was two other photographers, I'll post some pictures soon!

And I also give you some of my best tips for shopping, dining and staying a weekend in this fabulous Scandinavian Capital!

Aaand; I met Stockholms Lady Gaga. Wow, we're doing somethin' cool together.. Wait up!

Designerkollektivet tivoli!

"Designerkollektivet" is a collaboration between 12 Norwegian design brands. VATLE is one of the brands. We have stayed in third floor at the Aker Brygge shopping center since august 2009. It turned out to get a bit too ghosty with all the shops closing around us, so we found a new location on first floor. We will make some brilliant twists and get a really nice boutique in the end I think.

We used to present each brand in the store as separate sections. But in the new boutique we will try to mix it more up, to make it easier for the customers to see styling possibilities and easy find the color and fit.
Designerkollektivet are moving to the first level on the Aker Brygge shopping area. We hope more people would appreciate our brilliant smaller but more convenient boutique. Thursday we invite all of you to come and have a look! 20% off on all the new designs , performance and some candy to celebrate! Please join in for some nice celebration!

VATLE is launching all new unique designs at Designerkollektivet from Thursday on. the first thing you will be able to find, is different unique skirts. I'll take some pictures and show some of them on my blog soon.

This week its press relase in Oslo. We removed VATLE spring summer 2010 and replace it with Autumn Winter 2010. Kind of refreshing to get the new collection at it's new home for the next 6 months. The collection "A Sci-Fi Story" contains 34 outfits. Which is a lot for this kind of collection. It was doubled up since last summer. Right now I'm making "style view photos" for each style in the collection for my press agency. Thie is an example of how a picture look like.

Lady Gaga returns to Oslo!!!

Miss Harmonica gave me the good news this morning! What a good morning! I've never had the chance to see her live - last time she was here Madonna performed the same night. I had to choose Madonna since I always loved her so madly.

But now its GAGA time! Fun fun fun! Ticket's out on monday the 26'th of April!

My faced smiled like crazy after sleeping 12 hours after a day of shooting VATLE lookbook on sunday. I will blog ya about it later. VATLE is presenting at SPALT PR wednesday. Keep following to see pictures and read about what happend!

I always had a big thing for LED lightening. Everything that glows goes into my heart! The London based design duo Cute Circuit have created a dress embroidered with 24,000 full color LEDs.

The ‘Galaxy Dress’ claims to be the largest wearable display in the world. I think it's very impressive work, and adore designers that makes clothes like this! Sci-fi is dope ya know!!!

I saw Janet in one of my favorite designers, Hannah Marshall on Wonderland Magazine, and had to check it out online.

Do you feel that with Lady gaga being so popular that your fashion now has to shock people?

I think a lot of [what Lady Gaga wears] is really cool. I’m not knocking Gaga in any way, because I’m actually a fan of hers. I don’t know because we’ve never spoken, but when I look at her, I get the vision of Leigh Bowery. I mean, everybody’s inspired by something. Do I think it’s over the top at all? I enjoy it because it’s something kind of different. It’s something new to look at. It’s going to be hard [for her] to keep up with that, but who knows?

How about Rihanna? does what she’s doing with bandages remind you of any of your previous incarnations?

Have I done that before? Yes. I’m not saying she’s copying me. Everything is cyclical. They come back around at some point.

Do you have any anxieties about keeping up with Rihanna and Lady gaga?

To me, it’s just a matter of being you. And like I said, I don’t know what direction it’ll be, but I can tell there’s a change going on in me. Some•thing good. A lot has happened in my life this year, a lot of changes; I think I’m kind of headed in a different direction for sure, and it’ll show itself to me. As far as keeping up, I don’t look at it like that. It’s really about being who you are and doing what you want to do. I think when you try to keep up with something, it’s not a good thing. You have to express yourself and be the true you.

How often in your life would you say you’ve had these periods of boredom?
A lot. Quite a few, with a lot of different projects; that’s why I dyed my hair red at some point. That’s why I let my hair grow natural at some point; I had my hair like a honey auburn kind of thing. “Love Will Never Do” – that was a whole period. Rhythm Nation – I was covered up from here to here in black. I love black and I’m trying to get out of it.

Do you get bored with your work too, or is it just an aesthetic thing?

I don’t get bored with what I’m doing. I get bored with a sound. I’ve never gotten bored with my work. It’s always a new adventure each time you’re in the studio or you’re writing or working with someone new.

I just bought this pink 90's vintage romper on Ebay. I was searching for a floral kind, but ended up with one with a dotted pattern. I know its late, but I didnt catch the floral grunge style before this month, because it's too cold to dress up in the long cold norwegian winters. But it's finally spring in Oslo now, and I eager to get out on my sky coloured bike in my new pink romper.

I had to add a picture of HOT Alice Dellal in the style I love, at the moment.

First of all I’m sorry for my non-appearance on this blog lately. The reason is that I’ve got so much going on lately, that I had to let the blog sleep for a while. I’ll try to get hold of myself and start blogging for real now.

To tell you the truth, the reason why I`m so late this time, is because I´ve no idea where the photocable is, so all my pic`s still is on my camera. It says a bit about how I am actually. All my things seems to get lost at all times.

At the meantime I`ll show you my new hair. I was so honoured, that Tom Berry - a faboulous hair artist from London who works for Vogue and all the big fashionweeks, did it. I told him I wanted it in GAGAstyle, and he sure nailed it. I`ve already experienced people calling me Lady Gaga. No hard feelings, I`m in LOVE with her new video and song " Bad Romance" Cant get enough of her, shes my muse for the next collection!

London was GREAT, I tell you everything about homeparty at Katie Eary, the lovely club Joiners, the beautiful gay friends of Fam and wild fabrichunting in London next time !

Wohooo, we´re leaving to hit London this Thursday. I´ll catch an earlier flight to save some money, since I decided to join Fam a bit late. No problem at all waisting time around Londons wonderful streets. CAN´T EVEN WAIT!!

Fam used to live and study at St.Martins in London. And most certainly she knows the people to be with! We´re suppose to hit a party the same evening we arrive. Fabrichunting friday and saturday and PONYSTEP Sunday. I´m so excited..

STYLISTA BAZAAR IN DESIGNERKOLLEKTIVET 05-06-07 NOVEMBER 2009.

To start with; DESIGNERKOLLEKTIVET is a store made by 12 norwegian fashion designers. We started up 9 brands in August 2009. To tell the story short: Dagens Næringsliv is Norways biggest finacial newspaper. They announced a contest, where the award was a free shopping-area in a big shopping center for 2 months. Fam did apply for our design studio, we were picked as the final 100, but didnt win. The brand that won is called Vera & William. Since Vera & William couldnt fill up the store, they invited 8 other brands. VATLE was one of them. The other brands in the shop is now; Fam Irvoll, Stian Tjernsmo, Daniel Sørensen, Elton & Jacobsen, Vips, Tina H, Flinga, Synnøve Mo, Undorn and TSH. The center loves the store so much that we´ll stay until March 2010.

The designer does in fact run the store themself. Either they work them self or they send their assistants to work for them. Its quite nice to work side by side, and in many ways helping eachother. So if you´re in Oslo - please pay DESIGNERKOLLEKTIVET a visit. It`s worth it!

This weekend we have a special sale. We invited some of Norways best stylists to sell out all their good shoes, accezories, bags, clothes and all related to fashion. If you want to come and see if you can do a bargain, feel free!!

Last week, a miracle occurred. The tax money was much more than expected. Which means I would appear at Oslo Fashion Week in February. And, today I booked my London trip, to go fabric hunting with Fam. Inspiration & Fabric in 6 days, would be the perfect start on VATLE´s next chapter.

It´s time to develop the new VATLE collection A/W 2010. It´s my favorite part of being a clothing designer. It starts out with the inspiration part. As usual it just pops up in my head, I think the brain works unconscious and then one day I wake up and knows how the silhouette should be or how the first style should look. And from that I just plays along as the ideas just keeps on coming. I began to drape every style, and really enjoys the creative process it brings. I think it´s wonderful to not have to stick to a sketch step-by-step.

These days I'm finishing a lot of orders of VATLE II. I hope I´m done Thursday more or less, and then can concentrate fully on A/W. I spend my evenings with retro sci-fi movies as Blade Runner, Tron and Flash Gordon. AMAZING, bad movies with breathtaking fun space-suits. I´m considering going to London with my studio partner and good friend Fam Irvoll, to get the fabrics I really want, and at the same time check out Ponystep and meet up with Fam`s London-friends. If the tax money is in later this week, I´ll book and blog about it later on!

I´m pretty sure to show at Oslo Fashion Week this season, and I can assure you that I have some really good cards up in my sleeve this time!

I´m proud to announce that since the VATLE Fashion show at Fugazi, its been totally mad much good attention. Stylists of all kind has been fighting to use the clothes on different photo shoots, celebrities and so on. Its been like a fairytale, my dream has started. Its very motivating to know that what I worked so hard on, is getting out there, and people even wants it. Amazing! I finally had a chance to sit down and think about the future, when Samira from Spalt PR called me up. They offered me a "Design+ deal", which is great for my sake. Then I´m able to pay for it. It´s totally over the top! I delivered the collection to its new home at Spalts in the heart of Oslo this evening. It felt GOOD! Its totally VATLE- time, from now on I hope you´ll see VATLE in all kinds of magazines.

Since Ive been on vacation 2 weeks, for relaxing and inspiration for my new VATLE collection - its been some time since I got chance to write in my blog. The last week I had to catch up a bit on the VATLE brand.

I'm very happy to sign VATLE at Spalt PR next week. Which means that I'm forced to make a collection for A/W 2010. Its not that easy with no money - but I know it will work out with strong believe and power :)

Yesterday Samsaya recorded her new music video, for the song "ADHD". We threw a special Neverland party at Fugazi and all the NEVRLAND crew and special invited persons joined. It was magic, Samsaya looked like a real superstar and made all her moves professional. It was such an honour when she used the red "This is it" dress. Tears was in my eyes, she was just so beautiful.

And today shes at the cover of the Norwegian newspaper VG s fashion part. She looks like a superhero, I really love it - she fits the "Who is it" body amazingly great!

HEY, I know this blog has been a lot about MJ lately. But he`s my inspiration this season, and I feel grateful for what he did for me growing up. He made me believe in difference. He always did his own kinds. Last time I saw him was in Copenhagen 29.08.97 Its 12 years ago. We sang him his birthday song, sad to know that was to be the last time I ever saw him. But I stood first in line, and it was a memory for life. Today I will salute his day!

The reason why I started writing this blog, was because of the motivation it might give me to keep on doing what I am with VATLE. When I worked for Spitzbergen I got very busy concentrating about my job for the brand. But now I'm back with VATLE since Spitzbergen had to close down because of moneyproblems. I want to write down my weeks here, maybe it can have any value for anyone out there who maybe want to become a designer - or for someone just bored and want to read about a struggling designer...

I'm very ready to fight on to realize my dream, and I want to start production in any mad way.

Today Ive been selling Norwegian design in "Designerkollektivet" VATLE doesn't have a lot to sell there, but a bit and maybe someone will order some of my new collection. I will put up prizes in short time, and than its possible to order the items if you re interested.

Ive already began thinking out theme for my new collection. I cant reveal everything in my blog, as these kinds are a bit confidential in case of the copy danger that Ive been experienced a couple of times before.

But I ll try to fill you in with a bit of sketching and tell you how I work.

Every time I start a new collection it seems to come in different kind of ways to me. Often I can imagine a photo where I more feel the elements of the collection. Sometimes I get inspired very straight forward - as from a movie or as last time; Michael Jackson. Its important to wait on beginning my sketching until I m in the right creative place. This often can take a while. But when I feel ready, I sketch down the most important idea in a hurry and I can start making pattern or draping right away. I take a day out to pick out fabrics I believe in, and then I try to make a colour palette. I'm not to good with patterns in fabrics, I often feel its too much and easily gets bored of it.. But I think that's because I'm not so good at many colours and pattern - Once I would love to overkill a collection with both.

I'm very curios and use a lot time on documentaries and reading articles in papers.. I think its very important as a designer to know whats going on out there, as trend is made as a reflection in what you feel is right. There`s no right or wrong, and I often use my stomach to decide which direction to go next. The most important thing - is to have fun while working ahead the designs <3

MICHAEL JACKSON

When I first started working out my sketches for the new VATLE collection, I worked with the idea of tulle, sequins and shoulderfocus. In this period I was making my bestfriends weddingdress, and I got inspired of the "barbieweddinglook". It was start of the summer - and after a day in my studio sewing in white, I got a sad phonecall. I was just going to go to bed, it was the 25 of june.. The message hitted me hard; Michael Jackson was dead. It was such a shock. My biggest hero didnt breathe anymore. My heart was aching. I had a long deep conversation with my mother about life and death that night. And I couldnt sleep all night. I sat in my bed, surfing with still hope for MJ. When I saw all the pictures of him and realised that I would never see him dance on stage again, my heart missed him so deeply. It was very natural and clear that I would bring Michael into my new collection. I got inspired of his way of thinking innovatively. I sat down sketching as crazy the days after. I love that he always did manage to dress up like no other than himself, with his militaryjackets, his gold and sparkling rhinstone and sequins, his white socks, his kneeprotectors. It was such a easy thing to draw and make this collection. In the bottom my love shines through. And I sure hope Michael was following as my models walked with my heart for him on the runway.

This is the new logo for the brand Spitzbergen which I work as the Design Manager. Its up to Innovasjon Norge, if we get money to survive the beginning. I sure hope so, as I truly believe in the brand by all levels!

Unfortunately Spitzbergen suffered from the finacial crisis and had to stop their work. I hope for a miracle so what we worked so hard for will turn out to be sold one day..

Saturday me and Stian met in our studio to have some drinks. Later on, Sjur and Isaak came ti hang out. Sjur is Stians lovely boyfriend.
Good good. Stian and me has talked about how much we wants to throw a show sooner or later together. And we've been talking about bringing with us a couple of other good new designers. Anyway, it was a fun evening. We drank cava, Rom and some beers before we hit the OFW party. At Emil & Samuel it was paaarty. Kåre lunds closed VIP was as every year filled up with "celebrities" and fashion and musicpeople. It was free drinks and good vibes. We met Fam and Samsaya VIP offcourse Later on we hit the other OFW unofficial party - it was crowded and the VIP was no fun. We grabbed a beer and then returned to Emil & Samuel. Stian was in dance mood, enormously funny as always. Raymond, who works at Bodymap and also as a model-discussed with me that he thought it was a total disaster that it was no pictures from my show in OFW magazine. He had strong opinions and meant that I should most definitely complain - he meant that Ive payed to be in this mag - hehe It was great fun to talk to him - as i totally agree that this fact does suck.. But sadly I don't think its any good solutions on the problem.

Smuglesning + Diesel + Daniel Sørensen = Better than OFW.

I love the concept. Gaute Drevedal is a person that just get it all together. Im amazed to experience his way to connect all the cool persons in Oslo. I really love the Smuglesnings partys. And tonight was absolutely no difference. "Leilighten" ("the apartment" in english) was a really cool and steady place to throw a smuglesnigs/fashion party. It was the right mood with smooth lightnings and decadent surroundings. A lot of well known faces, and not as much arrogance as it ususally is at occations like this. We were seated in the middle of a squared room, and the models walked around us. I loved the feeling of something new. Something else than an ordinary catwalk. Daniels lightning was most certainly perfect. As me and Daniel sheer "Office" together, Ive seen his collection earlier. But. Never on models walking down with perfected eye paint and good looking hats on. I LOVED the professionalism of his work. It was breathtaking, and all around us was whispering "Oh I really want that.. and oh I need to buy the ...! " That is amazing clothes..." Briefly told, I think Daniel has done everything cool tonight! Cheers Daniel! And cheers smuglesning to pick the right place for a evening to remember. This is better than all the fuzz and stress at DogA these days. I'm getting more and more secure on throwing a individual show next time myself.

I went to see Ingvilds "Pling" show today. I knew it was a darker collection than she has shown earlier seasons. I was thrilled to see that the most of the collection was all black. I loved the volumes in the oversized jackets and tops especially. She impresses with good shaped seams in mixed fabrics. If I should give the collection critics, I would prefere that she stuck to all black, and cut off the browns and winereds. I didnt fancy these colours too much. Otherwise, she really impressed me much today. I loved to see the much cleaner and more edgy look and shape of Pling today! Wooop wop woooop :D

Today Stian and I, had the honour to be in Fam Irvolls crew at Oslo Fashion Week. We started the day with finishing her gorgous pink Anton Berg dress that she had made out of actual chocolatepaper. She later started her show with this amazing dress. It was breathtaking to go through her absolute amazing collection. This time she was inspired of little redhood and the wolf. She named the collection «A little red polkadotted hood» The collection contains knitted sweaters with different animals attatched, like rats, muse, hens, cats and so on. there was different animals made as big necklaces, decorative headbands with apples and ladybirds and a lot of cool tights with silkprinted tights with hearts and ladybirds on. Im absolutely in love with her polkadotted dresses, and the collection is truly amazing. I think shes the greatest norwegian fashion designer, and Im so glad that I got to know her and sheer a studio with her. To be around her is inspiring, shes totally herself and has the best intention as a person. The world needs more people like Fam Irvoll!

After the Tina H.show we wanted to grab a beer and say hello to Tina. We was told she was at the after party. But when we got there Tina from TSH was there but not Tina Haagensen. So we stayd to drink our Monet anyway. I got my champagne in my throat a couple of times, one was when a singing bee showed up in a pink rather uhm special dress and sang... I didn't quite catch why this number should be on a fashion week party. Anyway it wasn't much going on. Tommy Løland danced with AquaLene and so on...

Im prepared for a hard day work and also tomorrows crew-work for Fam Irvoll. I'm looking so much forward to her show and afterparty on Fisk & vilt

Tina H - OFW

We went to see Tina H tonight at Oslo Fashion Week. It was a total mess and we had to wait 90 minutes before the show started. The OFW-workers made a human fence and let group by group pass by. There was a couple of girls going around with seating lists, they looked stressed and it was difficult to communicate with any of the staff. DogA is a really cool place, but its a logistic disaster. This ruins a shows mood, and when we finally found our seats and the show began, I had a headache and was tired of all the lining and bad air.

Certainly this ain't Tinas fault. I thought she has become more commercial in her style. The show began with a quiet marionette dollish model walking in on the floor. I'm a bit disappointed with the styling, as this has been in a looot of magazines lately. I liked the blue flowerd things in the beginning. I also cherish the sequined black pant.I think I'm a bit disappointed by the fact that shes getting more quiet, but I know its because of the commercial value.I hope she can manage to survive this hard times now.
